The Power of Uggla

"His Name is Dan Uggla!"…that what you hear marlins announcers Rich Waltz and Tommy Hutton say after every home-run from our 2006 All Star Marlin second baseman. Personally, I think Uggla deserves much more than a chant and a group of fans who called themselves ‘Uggla’s Ugglies’ at every Tuesday home game. He has as many homers on the 07 season as Miguel Cabrera and even though his numbers on the K column can be alarming, the kid is clutch. Over the last year I have built a certain type of confidence in Danny. I like his approach, his defense, his bat.225281396786

Let’s review the stats:

.249 AVG, 17 HR, 50 RBIs, 32 doubles, 33 Walks, and has played every game of the season.

Granted Uggla has been "Struggla" at the plate lately (The nick was given by a fellow Message Board fan) but when he’s on, he’s on. He has heart, he has the right teammates techniques, and the fact that he’s so approachable for the fans makes him an obvious fan favorite.

So to any fish fan out there: Pay attention to the man who comes up to the plate when Roy Jones "Cant Be Touched" is playing. He’s our future at second base and should be more than just our second baseman, he should be our new superstar.
